How to use Rotate PDF

Upload a PDF with pages that need rotating.
Choose an additional turn: 90 degrees clockwise, 180 degrees, or 270 degrees clockwise.
Enter all, a page list such as 2,4,6, or a range such as 1-3. Page 1 is the first page of the file, regardless of printed labels.
Click Rotate PDF and download the result, then reopen that saved copy to check orientation, page count, and any unselected pages.

Rotation is not OCR or automatic orientation detection. Blank Pages input means all pages; use valid page positions within the document. The 100 MB upload limit does not guarantee that a complex file will fit in browser memory. Check the downloaded result before sharing; the sample test does not verify every PDF feature.

Worked example: Apply a turn to only the second page

Tested October 17, 2026 with synthetic, non-sensitive files on this website. The files below are the inputs and actual browser-downloaded outputs from that test.

Change one page without turning the rest of the document. This demonstration starts with two upright pages so the added clockwise turn is easy to see; it is not automatic orientation correction.

What we observed

The output still had two pages. Saved rotations were 0 degrees for page 1 and 90 degrees for page 2.
Both page labels remained extractable; page 1 stayed upright and page 2 displayed the clockwise turn.

When this is useful

Correcting selected pages when you know which direction they need to turn.

Limits of this example

The tool adds a turn to the current orientation. It does not read text to determine which way is up. Use the file’s page positions, not its printed page labels. This example does not test signed or interactive PDFs.

Check your own output

Reopen the downloaded copy rather than relying on a viewer’s temporary rotate control. Check the selected page and an unselected page. Choose 180 degrees for an upside-down page; choose 90 or 270 according to the required direction.

Work out the additional turn

A page lying on its left side needs a different correction from a page lying on its right side. Select only pages needing the same turn. For an upside-down page, use 180 degrees; 270 degrees clockwise is equivalent to 90 degrees counterclockwise.

The chosen angle is added to each selected page's existing saved rotation. If a document mixes orientations, rotating all pages by the same amount does not make them all upright. Download and reopen the saved copy to distinguish a permanent page rotation from a temporary viewer rotation.
