About
About Omni PDF
Omni PDF is a free PDF utility site with 20 tools for organizing, converting, optimizing, securing, and editing PDF documents.
Document processing runs in your browser using PDF.js, pdf-lib, Tesseract, and related libraries. Selected files are not uploaded for processing, and no account is required. Website analytics and advertising are described separately in our privacy policy.
Who maintains Omni PDF
Omni PDF at omni-pdf.com is maintained by Leslie. Leslie maintains the tool descriptions, examples and site updates, and receives corrections at [email protected]. This is the public maintenance name, not a claim of professional certification or affiliation with a PDF software vendor.
Why this site exists
PDF tools should make everyday document tasks easier without requiring a file upload for processing. Processing time and practical file limits depend on your device and the document.
Examples you can check
Our OCR, Word conversion, merge, rotation, and compression pages include synthetic inputs and actual downloaded results from dated tests. These demonstrate specific cases, not a guarantee for every file. Each page explains important limitations and how to check your output.
How we describe and check tools
On November 8, 2026, we opened a three-page test PDF with selectable text on pages one and three and an image-only invoice on page two. In Delete PDF Pages we removed page two and reopened the two-page result. Its first and last amounts stayed in order: 48 followed by 92.
Using the same original in PDF Text to DOCX, we inspected the downloaded Word document. It contained the two amounts and a missing-text placeholder for the scanned middle page. The invoice text in the image needs OCR before it can be extracted.
Additional tool pages link synthetic inputs and checked outputs from local processor tests dated November 6, 2026. These are labeled separately from browser-downloaded examples; the test method and uncovered cases are recorded with the samples.
We distinguish illustrative workflows from dated tests with downloadable evidence. A passing example proves that case, not every file. We check page order, readable output and relevant limits, and revise descriptions when a tool cannot meet a promised result. PDF text extraction does not preserve a Word layout; compression rasterizes pages; visible signatures are not certificate-based digital signatures.
Tool explanations and guides are maintained by Leslie. The update date refers to the written guidance, not a new test of every browser or document.
