How to Watermark a PDF

Why watermark a PDF
Watermarks communicate document status like CONFIDENTIAL or DRAFT, deter unauthorized sharing, and add visual branding to shared files.
The watermark is embedded into the page content and appears behind the document text at adjustable opacity.
Watermark settings
Enter your watermark text, then adjust font size, opacity, and rotation angle. A lower opacity keeps the document readable while still marking every page.
Enable Repeat watermark to stamp text diagonally across the entire page. Use the Pages field to watermark only specific pages.
Before you watermark
Keep a clean copy of the original PDF. Watermarks are difficult to remove once embedded.
Use Protect PDF alongside watermarks for stronger document security with passwords and permissions.
