How to Edit PDF Metadata
Update the title, author, subject, and keywords stored inside a PDF file.
What PDF metadata is
Metadata is document information stored inside every PDF: title, author, subject, keywords, creator, and producer. It does not change the visible content.
Clear metadata helps documents stay organized in libraries, appear professional when shared, and become more findable in search.
How to edit metadata
Upload your PDF and fill in the metadata fields you want to update. Leave fields blank to keep existing values, or enable Remove existing metadata to clear everything.
Click Save Metadata and download the updated PDF. The visible pages stay exactly the same.
When to edit metadata
Set a proper title and author before sharing client deliverables. Remove author and producer metadata to clean files before sending outside your organization.
Add relevant keywords to help document management systems categorize your PDFs correctly.
