How to Edit a PDF
Add text notes and annotations to any PDF page with color and position controls.

What you can edit
Edit PDF adds selectable text notes on top of existing PDF pages. Use it for approvals, labels, annotations, and quick markups.
The tool places new text at the top, center, or bottom of the page you choose, in black, red, blue, or green.
Editing steps
Upload your PDF, enter the text you want to add, and choose font size, color, and position.
Select the target page number, click Edit PDF, and download the annotated document.
What stays the same
The tool draws new text over existing page content rather than replacing the original words. Review the saved file and any interactive features you rely on.
Added text is written as a text layer rather than a picture; confirm that the downloaded note can be selected and searched in your reader.
Use a note when the original wording should remain
For a four-page proof, adding REVIEWED to the bottom of page 4 is a suitable task if that area is empty. Changing an existing price or replacing a paragraph is a different task: edit the source document and export a new PDF instead.
The note is horizontally centered in a top, center, or bottom position. There is no free-position text box, automatic line wrapping, or fitting to a form field. Keep the note short; a long line or large font can run off the page.
Check the added layer before sharing
Open the download and check the note’s page, spelling, color, and overlap with existing text. Try searching for the new note if searchable text is part of your requirement. Some characters are unsupported by the built-in font, so verify the actual wording instead of assuming all scripts are available.
Adding text does not remove the content beneath it. Do not cover a private name or account number with a note and treat the file as redacted. Keep the source PDF and use a dedicated redaction process when information must be removed.
