Why convert Word to PDF
Word to PDF creates a new PDF from DOCX body text in your browser. It is useful when a plain-text reading copy is enough, rather than a faithful rendering of a designed document.
The converter reads body paragraphs and lays out their text using a standard font. It does not preserve heading styles, images, table layout, headers, or footers.

What to expect
Text is laid out on Letter-size pages in a standard font. Original formatting and pagination are not retained. Review the new PDF against the DOCX before sharing; some characters may not be supported by the output font. Long text without spaces may extend beyond the page width, so check all pages in the downloaded PDF.
For older DOC format files, save them as DOCX in Word before uploading.
When a plain-text PDF is enough
A short memo with ordinary paragraphs can be suitable when consistent basic text is all you need. A designed resume, invoice, thesis, or branded proposal usually needs export from its authoring application because page layout, tables, and images matter.
For example, a DOCX containing a heading, two paragraphs, and a logo will not produce the same designed page here: the heading loses its style and the logo is not included. The new PDF lays out body text on Letter-size pages, so original page breaks are not a reliable guide to output length.
Acceptance checks for a text conversion
Compare the first and last sentences, paragraph sequence, punctuation, and any values against the DOCX. Check non-Latin characters and long URLs in particular: the standard font does not support every character, and long unbroken strings can overflow.
If a required chart, header, footnote, or table structure is missing, do not fix the problem by repeatedly converting the same file. Export from the source editor or rebuild the missing structure there. Retain the editable DOCX alongside the final PDF.
